11-hour power outage in Pampanga, Nueva Ecija

    MABALACAT CITY – An 11-hour power outage has been slated in two cities and 10 towns in Pampanga and Nueva Ecija on Thursday, June 9, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said yesterday.

    In an advisory, the NGCP said this would pave way for the “preventive maintenance work along the Cabanatuan-San Isidro line 2 transmission line.”

    The power outage would last from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in all areas covered by the Pampanga Electric CooperativeII (Pelco II). In the case of the San Fernando Electric Corp. (Sfelapco), only the town of Floridablanca would be affected.

    In Nueva Ecija, the areas affected are those served by the Nueva Ecija Electric Cooperative I (NEECo I), including the City of Gapan and the towns of Jaen, San Antonio, Cabiao and, San Isidro.

    Apart from this city to be affected by power outage in Pampanga, the other areas covered by Pelco II are Bacolor, Guagua, Sasmuan, Sta. Rita, Mabalacat and Porac.
