CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Five towns in Aurora and nine more in Nueva Ecija will experience 11-hour power outages today, April 3, said an advisory issued yesterday by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
The NGCP advisory said the power outages would last from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. as it shuts down its transmission facilities that distribute power to Nueva Ecija II Electric Cooperative, Inc.-Area 1 (NEECO II-Area 1), Nueva Ecija II Electric Cooperative, Inc-Area 2 (NEECO II-Area 2) and Aurora Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Aurelco).
The NGCP identified the affected towns in Aurora as Dingalan, San Luis, Ma. Aurora, Baler and Dipabulao, and in Nueva Ecija as Talavera, Natividad, Llanera, Palayan, Bongabon, Gabaldon, Laur, Rizal, and portions of Sto. Domingo.
“This is to facilitate replacement of selected wood poles, cross arms and insulators along Cabanatuan-Baler 69kVLine,” the advisory stressed. “Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion.
NGCP’s customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption,” the NGCP added.
