ANGELES CITY — “Christmas came early for all the government employees because of Mayor Pogi Lazatin. Maraming salamat po mayor sa patuloy na pagmamahal sa aming mga empleyado. Hindi pa po namin hinihingi, ibinibigay na po ninyo.”
Thus, Flordeliza Santos, president of the Association of Government Employees for a New Dynamic Angeles City, articulated the gratefulness of the city hall employees with the release on Nov. 15 of ₱46,207,971 for the year-end bonus and cash gift of 1,230 employees here.
Of the amount, ₱38,837,971 million was allotted for the year-end bonus, equivalent to the 1-month basic salary of employees, and ₱7,370,000 for the cash gift of ₱5,000 for each employee.
City hall has 872 permanent, 343 casual, and 15 contractual employees.
“The city recognizes the relentless effort and hard work of the employees in the service for all Angeleños,” Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. said of the bonuses.
Apart from these, an additional P17,000 bonus for each of the 1,230 employees is set to be released on December 2022, via scheduled dates.
On the other hand, 3,100 contract of service employees who are qualified for the P3,000 year-end gratuity will receive theirs on December 7.
Recently, Lazatin has also ordered the increase of salary of 125 traffic enforcers, aides, and 214 street sweepers from ₱387 to P600 per day. Angeles CIO
