CLARK FREEPORT — Quest Plus Conference Center and Park Inn by Radisson Clark have been conferred the Muslim-Friendly Accommodation Establishment (MFAE) by the Department of Tourism Region 3 for advancing halal tourism in ceremonial awarding held on May 18.
Described as a sub-category of the tourism industry, halal tourism caters to the needs of Muslim travelers aligned with Islamic values, ranging from food options and family-friendly spaces to alcohol-free and pork-free environments, and prayer facilities.
The recognition was personally awarded by DOT-3 director Dr. Richard Daenos to Quest Plus manager Michael Gapin and Park Inn manager Lorenzo Tang in separate ceremonies held at their respective hotels in acknowledgment of their commitment to providing inclusive, culturally sensitive, and Muslim-friendly hospitality services for travelers.
The recognition affirms the establishments’ compliance with standards and practices that support accessibility, respect for cultural traditions, and an enhanced guest experience for Muslim visitors.
The awarding also reflects the continuing efforts of the DOT to strengthen Muslim-friendly tourism initiatives in Central Luzon and further position the region as an inclusive and welcoming destination for both domestic and international markets.
