GENERAL MAMERTO NATIVIDAD, Nueva Ecija (PIA) — A total of 5,140 qualified beneficiary families in the municipality of General Mamerto Natividad received 10-kilogram rice packs under the first cycle of the Assistance to Indigent Individuals or Families–Rice Distribution Program (AIIF-RDP).

The initiative reinforces the Marcos administration’s commitment to ensuring that government assistance reaches every community through the Bawat Bayan Makikinabang program.

Implemented by the municipal government with technical support from the Department of the Interior and Local Government, the distribution covered all barangays in the municipality, with priority given to senior citizens and persons with disabilities.

The program is funded through the Fiscal Year 2026 Local Government Support Fund–Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU), which enables local government units to implement responsive development and social assistance initiatives that directly address the needs of their constituents.

Mayor Hilario Ponce expressed his gratitude to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for bringing the rice assistance program to the municipality, emphasizing its significance to residents amid current economic challenges.

“Thank you very much, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., for the free rice program in our town. This is a great help to my constituents, especially during these times,” the mayor said in a social media post.

The AIIF-RDP is among the national government’s initiatives that advance the Bawat Bayan Makikinabang agenda by ensuring that every municipality benefits from programs that strengthen food security, reduce the burden on vulnerable families, and promote inclusive development.
