CSF launches ‘Task Force Illegal Structure’
Jul 30, 2010
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The City Government of San Fernando in coordination with the Department of Public Works and Highways started on Thursday its campaign to remove structures that post imminent danger to public through the creation of “Task Force Illegal Structure”.
The project was launched in preparation for the upcoming rainy seasons.
This is also to prevent unnecessary accidents caused by illegal structures like banner stands, oversized streamers, tarpaulins and billboards which commonly fall during heavy rainfalls. Desilting of city drainage system is also set.
The task force removed tall billboard stands along the Dolores Intersection. Drainage system along Jose Abad Santos Avenue was also inspected and repaired.
City officials will also hold an inspection along strategic locations here to check whether entrepreneurs follow the prescribed sizes on outdoor advertising materials.
