Bitcoin investors flock NBI

CABANATUAN CITY - Phoebe Alban, 23, resident of Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija went to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) here to formally file a complaint over the P7 million her husband invested in the controversial bitcoin stocks.

Alban was among over 20 people who supposedly poured in hundreds of thousands to several millions of pesos flocking the NBI field office on Tuesday alone, their number already reaching 200 people since last week.

The NBI would not issue a statement as of press time.

Alban said her husband, a government employee, secured a huge loan to make an initial investment of over P300,000 in September 2017.

Each investment slot that was equivalent to P160,000, shall have a corresponding pay-out of P40,000 for every 16 days, she said until the capital is returned after three months.

Alban said everything was well with all the amounts due them, delivered on that first round though they knew some less fortunate investors whose payments were unclaimed after New G, the entity they were dealing with, was reportedly banned from using the web coin.ph sometime in December.

“Nakasweldo po sa old slot, tapos January nagpasok ng new slot, tapos sumuweldo siya (her husband) tatlong kinsenas. Tapos February, ipinasok niyang lahat tapos susweldo siyang February 15, nagdeklara nang wala muna. Nag post siya sa Facebook na March 25, 26, 27 na,” she said.

In January, however, New G again asked them to invest as it allegedly had created a new payment scheme to ensure the return of investments, Alban said.

That was the time all their investments went to nothing, she said.
