SALUS POPULI suprema lex.

The health of the people is the supreme law.

“I want to make sure the right legal measures are taken to compensate the damages done to those who received the vaccination, their parents and to my beloved city.”

True to his calling as human rights lawyer, Angeles City Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan who is also the president of the League of Cities of the Philippines has tapped lawyers from France and the European Union and consulted with legal institutions as the Columbia and Sorbonne universities preparatory to taking to court Sanofi Pasteur, manufacturer of the anti-dengue vaccine Dengvaxia.

“They are little innocent angels who were mostly nine years old when they got the vaccines,” an outraged Pamintuan said of the some 6,000 city school children who were vaccinated with Dengvaxia. Sanofi recently admitted the drug is unsuitable for those who had not been afflicted with dengue, reports said.

Declared the mayor: “I look at this incident as a reckless assault on the human rights of the innocent children and that my city is firing back a direct response against the pharma company that brought fear to those affected by the immunization program.”

Go, sue Sanofi , Sir.
