CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Philippine National Police Director General Ronald “Bato” M. Dela Rosa thanked yesterday Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda for her unwavering support to the police force by providing 24 brand new patrol vehicles to local government units.

Each Foton patrol vehicle is worth P889,000, the 24 totaling to P21.3 million.

Dela Rosa also took the opportunity to remind the officials specially the drivers of the patrol cars to maintain proper use of the vehicles.

“Those drivers who will be found guilty of reckless driving and negligence, I will ask you to be deployed and drive in Marawi City,” the PNP chief said in jest.

During the ceremony, Gov. Pineda turned over the mobile patrol to the 21 municipalities of the province, as well as to the Pampanga Provincial Police, the Philippine Public Safety College, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

These brand new patrol vehicles will be a great help to the community as the provincial government strengthens its mobility as support to the unyielding war against illegal drugs, the governor said.

Pineda furthered that these vehicles will be utilized for public service and in patrolling areas of responsibilities of every police station.

Aside from the patrol cars, two mobile phones (SMART & Globe) complete with simcard and postpaid load were also granted to police stations of each district for faster communication and quick response to emergency.
