CSF celebrates birth anniversary of Cuyugan

THE CITY Government of San Fernando, Pampanga, led by Mayor Edwin D. Santiago, celebrated the 122nd Birth Anniversary of its local hero Vivencio Cuyugan Y. Baron on March 14, 2017.

Cuyugan was the first socialist mayor of the Philippines and was known because of his passion in defending the rights of the poor despite being born with a silver spoon.

Among the highlights of the program include wreath laying ceremony which was participated by the relatives of Cuyugan, City Officials, students, and members of the private sector.

A historical marker was also transferred by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines led by Executive Director Ludovico Badoy.
