“INJUSTICE WAS done to Janet Lim Napoles.”

So declared Solicitor General Jose Calida in seeking a reversal of Napoles’ conviction for serious illegal detention for lack of evidence, further sayeth:

“The OSG (Office of the Solicitor General) is the defender of the Republic and at the same time the tribune of the people. I am a servant of the law and I took an oath to uphold the rule of law…

“We will not do justice if we will not make right what is wrong…

“Justice will not send an innocent person to the gallows. It is my bound duty to state the facts.”

On the other hand, the Solicitor General did not find himself duty bound to state the facts on the cases of the over 7,000 casualties in the war against drugs.

So they are not innocent and thus unceremoniously sent to their graves?

Solicitous to plunderers. Injudicious to the poor. Ain’t no justice there.
