Hilton Clark Sunvalley Resort signals Hilton Worldwide’s growth plans in Phl

Hilton Worldwide (NYSE:, HLT) and Hilton Hotels & Resorts recently announced the signing of a management agreement with Lee, Shun Kun, chairman of the Clark Sunvalley Resort, to form and jointly manage the Hilton Clark Sunvalley Resort in the Philippines.

Hilton Clark Sunvalley Resort is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2017, strengthening Hilton Worldwide’s Philippine presence which includes Conrad Manila and Hilton Manila.

Clark, Pampanga, located in Central Luzon, has a thriving Freeport Zone that has seen export value grow exponentially in recent years.

In 2013, the figure topped USD3.83 billion. An important hub for business, aviation and tourism, Clark, a mere 60 kilometers from Manila, is home to a number of the world’s largest corporations. Investment has been growing steadily over the past 10 years in Clark with spillover effects to the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) industry market.

Hilton Clark Sunvalley Resort is located within the Freeport Zone, which is only four kilometers away from the Global Gateway Logistic City and the Clark Green City, and only about five kilometres away from the Clark International Airport— which has direct flights to key cities such as Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Doha and Macau. Between 2010 and 2013, Clark’s international and domestic arrivals have been averaging 419,000 a year. Hilton Clark Sunvalley Resort is also connected to Metro Manila and other key areas in the Central Luzon region by a network of highways.

The Clark Sunvalley Country Club, which is part of the integrated resort, is an authentic private country club consisting of 36 holes of various difficulty levels which are harmonized with beautiful, natural scenery.

Located at an altitude of 370 meters above sea level, the Clark Sunvalley Country Club gives golfers a chance to get close to the blue sky and clouds while enjoying a subtle but cool breeze.

Hilton Clark Sunvalley Resort is a 268-key newly built hotel which is part of a mixeduse development with a casino, a fully operating 36-hole golf course, a water park, an international school, high-end residential villas and world famous spa, kids club, cooking school, and sports facilities which includes a horse-riding facility.
