CAPITOL HILL, Tarlac City — A total of 926 armchairs were recently distributed to fourteen public elementary and high schools in the second district of Tarlac from the fund of ACT Teachers partylist representative Cong. Antonio Tinio, through the efforts of Cong. Susan Yap who also spearheaded the distribution of armchairs.
The Tarlac Second District Representative said more students will benefit if they will be able to solicit more fund from other institutions to produce more armchairs, adding that “having their own chairs will allow students to study comfortably and focus more on their lessons.”
For his part, Tinio said that this is a bid to help solve the lack of furniture for students in public schools prior to the opening of school year 2012-2013 in June.
Yap said 83 armchairs were each given to Tagumbao High School [Annex] and Buenlag Hish School in Gerona, 50 each in Balete Elementary School in Tarlac City, Bulo Elementary School in Victoria, Binauganan Elementary School and Sinait Elementary School in Tarlac City, Danzo Elementary School, San Agustin Elementary School, Bularit Elementary School and Ungot Elementary School while 100 armchairs each were given to Tarlac National High School Main and Victoria National High School Main.
Principals of the different schools who were the beneficiaries of this project expressed their thanks to Yap and Tinio.
