A virtual endorsement was given by incumbent Gov. Lilia “Nanay Baby” Pineda when asked what she had in mind on reports that three-term City of San Fernando Mayor Oscar S. Rodriguez may contest her post in 2013.

Any other politico saying the same thing would have amounted to nothing more than hypocritical civility. But not with Pineda, given her storied sincerity and innate humility – what you see in her is what you get; what you hear from her is what it is.

“Hindi ko muna iniisip ang pagtakbo sa 2013, ang sa atin ay trabaho muna bago ang pamumulitika. Kapag nagtrabaho tayo ng tama at maayos, karagdagan na lang ang panalo sa halalan.” Spoken like the true hard-working public servant that governor is.

For his part, Rodriguez says he remains as a good soldier ready to obey the order of his commander, in this wise, the Liberal Party. Spoken like the loyal partyman that the mayor has always been.
